#NaPoWriMo 26 For Whom is the Honey Made?

Why does the bee labour so?

Why do the blossoms come?

Why has the honeycomb stood?

So long in this trusted wood?

For whom is the honey made?

For man, for beast, for micro mind?

For metamorphic clocks of time?

Why have we come to drink our own?

And murder so the host that binds?

For whom is the honey made?

Ask yourself, while there is still time.

The virgining leaves tremble in the morning’s essential breeze … Dawn awakens to chase the chill of Night and warm the liquid light bodies of snail and tree frog … the slip and candid fasten frail tendrils of all blossoming vines open their awareness … unfurling the paper white fragility of their dance petal symphony … nodding head mosses stretch through the drench of dew bonnets upon their  sleepy heads … as the iridescence of their quartz footings kiss the Master good morning … “It is in your light, I find my freedom” they whisper softly … bluebells opening their life giving sweet songs written in the law of true unconditional love … this mystery turns in the gathering morn … we human have long forgotten … soon, the morel stands witness …

You pass through my body in moments of which I feel need … the sheet of your shadow creasing into my bones … as is you are in this very room … motioning the air about in rub tickle tones of molecular slow and salty tangos … the way someone might on a train caught in the sliver shot of a fall rush … people pass hiding they felt a spark … hand brushing the back, a wool coat … that back leaning into a woman’s breast, grazing her into a soft silence … I look up from my work searching the room for your coffee brown eyes … seeking some spark of synaptic contact we wove in voice overs on the phone when winter was brutal … shut in and shouting out for some humanity to hear and claim us … If I can’t have your hands I’d settle for your eyes on me  … in resting moments I lay the blanket of your Self upon me … tucking your head under my chin, your arms encompassing me … I listen to the changing rhythms of my heartbeat and I sleep … you whisper there will be cooked beans when I awaken and leave the kindest parts of you behind to keep me warm … my eyes close as you leave the room… the door cracked only a little bit … You pass through me at times …

I am the needle … said Soul and you my magnet … Let me thread you with the silk of my aching desires … I will dead pan plumb the gravity line of your afflictions … Roll the lacing thusly thrice, the Knot of Wisdom catching in blessed assurance the tatter edge of mend~less muscle … Between the stippled patterns inquire, where the cog line binds … Bathe me in myrrh, wine, and Balms of Gilead … that I shall be suchered into your heart … We becoming as One burning engorged vessel …polarized by the spiritual compass of the Holy Ghost and the fire of mechanistic mystics …

Versatile Blogger Award Nominees

Versatile Bloggers Award

versatile-blogger

I would like to thank The Spiritkeeper for nominating me for the Versatile Bloggers Award. I am humbled and was surprised to receive such a kind acknowledgment. I am truly grateful for our poetic and writing community. Please, do spend time with The Spiritkeeper’s blog Seeing the Whisper,  https://seeingthewhisper.wordpress.com/. I have enjoyed reading it this April as I discovered him through #NaPoWriMo. You will be stricken with his ability to create poetry with words as well as with images. This is new to me and I think you for introducing me to this new form of hushed expression.

As for myself …

I am American born in Peoria, Illinois. Although I have always dreamed of travelling I am quite domestic. I enjoy gardening in the warm months raising vegetable gardens, herbs, and berries. I can, dry herbs, and make jams in the fall. I am an artist of varying mediums from bending willow to drawing, quilting to fine Irish Crochet lace. I am also a Wuxia film nut. I love the beauty of the genre. I have three rescue kitties and one dog. Love to cook and share with a meal with interesting conversation. I am a very complicated and or complex person. I will keep some of my secrets however, Thank you for reading my work. It means so very much to me. I can’t tell you.

My writing is a spiritual discipline I have always practiced. I began writing before I ever went to school and have continued to write most of my life except for a few years. I find myself, like all writers at times, at a loss. nature, however always seems to have the inspiration I need to fuel my inner fire. I am ever grateful for the voice which lends itself to me and moves through me. I am merely the vessel and the messenger. The message is the miracle for me.

I never graduated from High School. I got my GED at Illinois Central College in East Peoria, Illinois. That is the extent of my formal education.

I began as a way of personal healing after a particularly challenging time in my life. I had been away from writing for a few years and returning to expressing myself through writing became a deeply healing and spiritual connection back to who I had always been.

I believe that blogging, in the light of the world, is a truly beneficial emotional and empowering practice.  Through this practice we are also able to uplift, encourage, mentor, and offer solace to others which is indeed time well spent.

Again, Thank you to The Spiritkeeper and his blog at  https://seeingthewhisper.wordpress.com/

    #NaPoWriMo 22 Your Redemption

    Your Redemption

    An Utterance of Closure

I had been to the trees since the break of day … the mocking jay had come in a fit filled mid morning of my dreams … to announce red ribbons had been tied to the thorns of the council trees at the bend of the river … he had foretold such and thus I knew it to be true … clear through to my spine … with my scythe in hand, half empty of fear and half filled with the love I would need to carry you with me … I rose and set out into the bitter morning just as the initial flaming splinter broke the horizon … I spoke to Dawn’s silence for us both … my mossy eyes falling on the cardinal flags as I breached the cresting hills … A heart too broken to feel the thorns …  I disrobed and adorned my body with only your bright banners … wading out into the icy waters … searching for any cause to offer homage … I invited the roaring current to carry your redemption home …

You say I work too much,

But I can’t get enough work done,

To get me close to you,

There aren’t enough hours in the day,

Or moments in the brief time we exchange,

To soak you up so I won’t dry out,

So, I won’t need to come for another drink of you,

I try to lasso the sun and stop it from setting,

Everyday it drags me down with it,

Into the night of I have to go now,

    Tomorrow is coming,

    There is not stopping it.

At least I know each day,

The light had to pass through you to get to me,

Can we at least share the moonlight?
